Hi, I’m Judith!
I’m Judith Romero, a forever flamenco student in Calgary, Alberta. I am passionate about helping other flamencos feel welcome, capable and celebrated in this art. I’m an amateur flamenco dancer. Before flamenco, there was figure skating and piano. I enjoy helping people who think they don’t have rhythm, find their rhythm!
Adela & Tom’s Flamenco is named after my grandparents, who immigrated to Canada from Spain in the ‘60’s. They were NOT flamencos in a formal sense, but they were Andalucians, meaning they loved the social forms of the art. My grandma was even asked to sing fandangos in movies!
Adela & Tom’s Flamenco celebrates the type of flamenco born in a kitchen among friends and family. I believe this type of flamenco deepens the flamenco roots in any community.
