Our classes are a nice re-entry into the artistic movement world for students who may have studied dance/figure skating or other artistic movements in the past. Our classes our multi-level, making them suitable for newcomers, intermediate and advanced dancers.

Where can we find out more about you, flamenco and your approach?

We write a bi-weekly Substack publication called “Your FLAMENCO is Showing” aimed to make newcomers and amateurs in the art feel welcome and celebrated in the world of flamenco. Clicking the “Substack Publication” page will redirect you to our publication. Review the archive to learn about us, flamenco and our approach. Be sure to subscribe to keep up-to-date. We also write about our teaching approach on our Classes page.

Do I need flamenco shoes?

Flamenco shoes are not required for those first starting classes. Sock feet are acceptable for class. As well, indoor sturdy heeled shoes with a closed toe and no grip can work. We aim to make your first class a comfortable and fun experience. You will meet your classmates. We will review the goals of that class, warm up, conduct the body of the class and cool down. In addition to conventional dancing, we will engage in rhythm and ear training exercises, we will study (watch and listen) flamenco recordings and we will also sing from time to time. Bring a notebook!
