90 minute class will include rhythm studies, watching/listening of recorded material, brief thematic lectures and groupwork in addition to dance instruction. BRING A NOTEBOOK!
After completion of this class, students will understand the stages and options in a complete dance solo for tientos/tangos. Beginners will learn basic movements and communication used between musicians to navigate the key moments of a solo. More experienced dancers will be encouraged to use/modify material they already have and given the skills to approach a solo with an “options” perspective rather than as a set choreography.
12 classes @ $30 each + GST

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. If you are a beginner and do not have flamenco shoes, sock feet or CLEAN INDOOR SHOES WITH A CLOSED TOE AND STURDY HEEL AND NO GRIP are acceptable. Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the studio.
Please note: Classes are not transferrable and there are no refunds for missed classes. In the unlikely event of a class cancellation, a make-up class or refund will be offered.
