90 minute class will include rhythm studies, watching/listening of recorded material, brief thematic lectures and groupwork in addition to dance instruction. BRING A NOTEBOOK!
After completion of this class, students will have an improved felt connection with the 12 beat rhythm of solea. Beginners will gain a sense of "felt” rhythm, learn basic movements and familiarize themselves with harmonic, melodic and poetic components of solea. More experienced dancers will be encouraged to develop improvisation.

*the first class on September 12 will be in TheRoomYYC Studio (front door entrance) all remaining classes will be in the studio accessed through the backdoor of the same building (COL Studio).
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. If you are a beginner and do not have flamenco shoes, sock feet or CLEAN INDOOR SHOES WITH A CLOSED TOE AND STURDY HEEL AND NO GRIP are acceptable. Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the studio.
Please note: Classes are not transferrable and there are no refunds for missed classes. In the unlikely event of a class cancellation, a make-up class or refund will be offered.
